MT. GALE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH

Where Everybody is Somebody and Christ is All.....

About Pastor Cooper

Pastor Forrest C. Cooper, a native of Prattsville, Arkansas, serves as Pastor of Mt. Gale Missionary Baptist Church.  He is married to Cleo L. Cooper and has two daughters, Chassidy and Carli. Under his tutelage and guidance, Mt. Gale continues to grow and provide spiritual nurturing as we impact the world “One Family at a Time”.

Pastor Cooper says: “Every day I find reasons to thank and praise God for his hand of direction and development.  Even when I couldn’t track or trace him, He was still trustworthy.  I believe deeply and seriously that the family is a monumental institution and stands as a strong fiber in a weak and feeble world. To build it, we must turn to the Creator for a clarified and concrete concept.  It is upon the first foundational institution on record where God established the family, Genesis 2:18–25, that we formulate our church vision and theme. We thank God for the blessings of growth our church has experienced, spiritually, financially and in physical membership. We stand on “tiptoes of hope” as we await the blessings of God for the Mt. Gale Baptist Church Family.”

Biography

Pastor Cooper accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in the summer of 1967 under the leadership of Reverend Clarence Jackson, Pastor of Davis Creek Baptist Church, Prattsville, Arkansas.  Nurtured in the church from childhood, he worked on various ministries throughout his youth and young adulthood. Though recognizing his call to ministry at an early age, he remained reluctant until final surrender in April of 1992.  He preached his first sermon in 1992 at New Hope Baptist Church in North Little Rock where the late Don Kelly served as Pastor.  Licensed by Kelly and ordained by E.D. Larry, Pastor Cooper began the spirit led journey to fulfill his calling.

From 1994 -1997, he served as Pastor of Barnett Chapel Baptist Church and watched in amazement as God moved Pastor and people together.  Great strides were made as a result of a willingness to preach the gospel and give God his best.  Since 1999, Pastor Copper has served as Shepard of the Mt. Gale family in the city of Conway, Arkansas, community of Gold Lake.
